Backcountry Fishing

There is a reason that backcountry fishing in Islamorada is known throughout the world for an epic fishing experience. The Islamorada Sandbar is a great place to experience a social atmosphere combined with the beautiful waters off the coast of Islamorada and Key Largo. The sandbar is located just off of Overseas Highway less than a nautical mile off the coastline. Sandbar visitors arrive by boat to partake in the activities. Get social with your friends and family or sit back and watch the locals. There are many ways to enjoy the sandbar for all ages. Sandbar activities typically include kayaking, paddle-boarding, sunbathing, swimming, and more.
